I just heard that. Very sad. I didn't even know who she was until Monday though. Still sad though. I feel sorry for her husband and children. I agree, celebrities need to stop skiing. That just seems like such a freak thing to me though. I mean how many times have you bumped your head...HARD? I know I have lots of times.

I know, the way the made it sound yesterday it was nothing and she was going to be fine. Really sad. Her family must be in shock.

I heard about Natasha Richardson being in the skiing accident but I hadn't heard that she had passed away.

I think we may need to build my DS11 (12 in October) his own little house in the back yard too. I can't believe how sensitive and emotional he can be.

It must have something to do with the speed and the degree you are at from skiing that makes those injuries more dangerous.

Apparently she fell in the middle of the beginner's hill and didn't hit her head on anything...the ski patrol only came because it was resort policy. She didn't even complain about a headache until an hour later when she was back in her room...really weird how head injuries work.
