Well we start our epic journey tomorrow, suitcases are packed, hair is cut, dinner eaten and washing up done, so I thought that I would write a pre-trippie as although this is our 9th visit i have not written an official trippie ever!!
The Cast
Me (Claire) 42 wife to Tony and Mum to Daniel and Matthew, avid disney fan and shopper, with a strange sense of humour
DH (Tony) 45 Hubbie and Dad with just as wierd sense of humour as me ~ we make a great pair
DS1 (Daniel) 15 sometimes known as BFG ~ on account of being 6' 6" or Storpedo to his swimming mates
DS2 (Matthew) 11 aka matman or trouble, who is the worst child ever to take to a restaurant on account of how fussy he is, and who rarely does rides.
On our return flight last year we asked the boys were they wanted to go in 2007, they were unanomous (thankfully) on a return to Orlando, unfortunatly the only month when Daniel is not training or competing is August coupled with the fact that the boys school will not allow under any circumstances time to be taken off during the term, we plumped for August, Tony had already had holiday allocated to him so set about looking for flights etc... Daniel competes in Sheffield at the Nationals end of July begining of August so we hatched a plan that we would go on holiday immediatly Nationals finished, and as we would be in Sheffield thought that it would be a good idea to fly from Glasgow, so we booked the flights and then tried for our villa that we had just stayed in but it had been sold, we managed to get another villa, on Indian Point, an area that we all liked, that would let us arrive on any day of the week so we booked it. We fly on the 6th August and return on 26th. Then a couple of months later British swimming dropped the bomb shell that for the first time ever the dates of Nationals had been changed ~ thankfully bought forward but it meant that we would have an extra 4 nights in Sheffield, so it was decided that we would come home and then travel to Glasgow by train.
So using our family rail card we booked a virgin train at the grand sum of £29.30 for all four of us and we leave now TOMORROW MORNING
.
We have some ADR's booked, Ohana, Olivias Cafe, 50's prime time, Crystal Palace, afternoon tea (that the children are treating us to as an anniversary pressie) and whilst on the phone booking these I was asked if we were going to the Pirates and Princess party, once I realised that this was not just for little kids it was booked and I set about making 3 pirate and 1 princess costumes (piccies will follow i promise). We would also like to do the sky venture so will see if we can fit it in to the schedule. So we are all packed, just had dinner washed up and waiting to go to bed so that our 9th Orlando adventure can begin
