Four for a Dollar leaving?

I just heard that Four for a Dollar are leaving in September.My family loves that group.It was the main reason for going to Beauty and the Beast show in the first place.We are very sad to hear this if it is true.

It's true (confirmed by band member) I read about it on another board which I can't mention here I agree- I love these guys. Story is that Disney simply did not renew their contract. How sad.

I've never bothered to see the BatB show, so I've never seen the group. I'll have to rectify that during my upcoming visit.

I'm really going to miss these guys. They are very entertaining. Wish I could get back before September, but sadly I can't.

Too bad! These guys are great and certainly add to B&TB greatly (although B&TB is fantastic on its own).

Another case of the cheaps I guess. The Cristo's (acrobatic trio) were not renewed at Epcot last year and the "Living" stautues have been gone from France for just longer than that...These shows only add to 'the show' and not the bottom line...If you can't figure out what this Disney really cares about I think you're not trying.

MANY months ago, a friend and I happened to be walking through Epcot by the fountain just as the Cristo's came out. We stopped to watch. They had barely just begun and one of the women fell and landed hard.
She kept a smile on her face the whole time, but you knew it was serious.
We were just about to flag someone down when one of the performers that was bending over the injured one made a motion off to the side to cut the music.
The remaining two carried the injured woman off and away, her smiling and waving the whole time. (Smiling through tightly clenched teeth.)
Luckily there was hardly anyone around besides us two.
But I never have seen the Cristo's since.
The friend and I have mentioned this a few times and wondered if her injury was enough they had to be on leave for quite awhile or find another partner.

Noone likes to see change...but seriously, it has been the same routine for 5 years. They are a good barber shop quartet, but anyone in the barber shop community knows they will be EASILY replaced...just wait and see...Disney won't fail if they want another group to take their place...

While I can agree that no one really likes change, especially us sentimental Disney dorks, it seems to me that Disney has really been missing the mark on changes and replacements within recent months. Let's just add one more thing to piss the repeat customer off with

Like changing Fantasmic to only 2 nights a week???? It just goes on and on but they seem to be adding more extra charge parties to make more money and raising ticket prices and stroller fees and parking fees etc.

Disney's middle name is "cut the quality the visitors will not notice". They definately cut some of the Beauty and Beast Show. Only one "sundae" came out on stage and I know they had more than one before. Only one person in the "storm the castle" had a torch and before they all than them it made the scene more meaningful. They sing grab your torch and only one guy has one....this was not the era of electic lights. LOL. Four for a Dollar was not there at the show last week when I went. My son was really disappointed. If you really look around I think Disney is making cuts that they think people will not notice but in truth it changes the experience. Even the Little Mermaid show was cut. They cut the pre-show and then they cut the part where Sebastian comes out of the wall in the beginning. I noticed that the section managers were the ones picking up the papers too! They must have cut the sweepers too! Forget the Backstage Tour they replaced that and Hunchback with the stupid Stunt Car Thing. Who in their right mind will see that more than once in a lifetime and still live to hear ?

I will miss them. They just sang to us for our 25th Ann. It was so nice. Well I am so glad I will get to see them this week. I wish them the best . I hate change sometimes.

I'm sorry to hear that the woman in the Cristo's got hurt. She was the mother and the two men were her sons. I got a picture with them all a few years back. They were so happy to be at Disney World. I just feel so bad that they have left. I'll miss Four for a Dollar too. I agree, Disney just keeps taking more and more entertainment away and raising prices. But, with all the disappointments, for me, it's still the best vacation there is.

Seriously, I know what you mean. The truth of the matter is that we moan and groan over losing our favorites but then we fall in love with their replacements.

What replacements? What replaced Hunchback? Is anything at France or Italy since their sidewalk shows were pulled (no). How about The Cristo's, is anything out front? How about the guys who played garbage cans at Epcot, are they still around? (this one I don't know the answer to). But they were (are) great!

It's OK to love WDW, but don't give them a free pass when it's not warranted.
