I have a similar idea for DD...but I can not find plain white tshirts for toddlers. I've tried EVERYWHERE (Target, Walmart, etc.) All I could find were onesies. Any ideas or leads?
That's funny. I've always been able to find Garanimals t-shirts in toddler sizes at Wal-Mart. Have you tried a craft store (Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc.)? They usually have an XS (size 2/4) in their craft t-shirt section. They run small, and can even be shrunk (wash and dry on HOT) if needed.
Anyway, just adhere the bumpy side to the fabric with an iron (face up.) Flip the interfacing to the other side where it's lined with paper. Then trace your necktie pattern and cut it out. The last step is to iron it on to your shirt...so easy, right? I took it a step further and hand-embroidered it with some black embroidery thread just to make it 'pop.' You could also satin stitch around the edge as well, but I was too afraid my machine would eat my shirt! The Mickey bar one was done the same way...only I typed out his name using "Minnie" font in Photoshop. I also created the Mickey bar from scratch using shapes in Photoshop. I reversed the images and printed...then follow the steps above. Let me know if I've confused you.
There are a few tutorials on how to use Heat N Bond on youtube if you just poke around.

Ready for more snow tomorrow? I'm SO OVER this winter! I actually just finished another Disney project last night so I'll post it as soon as I take pictures!
I hope that didn't confuse you! Please post a pic of your finished product! I can't wait to see it!
