Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

More golf, I won my match and I've been asked to join the club team :yay:
Way to go! :cheer2:

even though we weren’t American we understood most of it :)

Pshew.

And I grew up with something kind of in-between the two - more of a biscuit, I'd say, not sweet or cakey. :confused3 But LOTS of cream and strawberries :cloud9: HDDR's version doesn't sound too tantalizing to me, either.

My mom makes strawberry shortcake and she makes it with sweetened biscuits.

I'm with V on the shortcake. I grew up with the biscuity thing sliced in half and then loaded with strawberries and cream. Yummy! :teeth:

Yes, this is also what I had. More of a biscuit (of the American variety, Jo, not cookies.) :)

And did you know that you have to trim goat hoofs too??

No, but you are required to know this.

I want an order of corn fritters and a slice of Key lime pie, please!

I like cornbread but my favorite corn product of all (remember that my father is a corn farmer): grits. I eat them for breakfast nearly every day. :cloud9:

Technically, since Jo played golf whilst on her "trip" then that opens all golf-related discussions thereafter.

And, since she ate cornbread at HDDR, that certainly justified a detailed discussion of the merits of that side dish along with appropriate substitutions should Disney decide to change the menu!

And since she discussed the blacksmith shoeing a horse at FW, that led to related comments about all horses and hoofed (?) animals, which of course leads us back to goats!

(see I'm ALWAYS on-topic!):rotfl2:
Yeah what she said....
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Thanks Michelle, the girls did enjoy it but, wait for it, I want to try a posh 2 credit restaurant next year :faint: :rotfl2: Any advice? The girls aren't fancy eaters!

Don't worry, Jo. 2 credit TS restaurants in WDW aren't that posh! LOL! :rotfl: I'd be happy to help - you know me - I love giving out my opinions! :teeth:
So, how is Jess? Brenna said that she hurt her hand? Is she OK?

I'm SO behind! And I am doing some SEVERE multitasking at work trying to catch up. LOL

I just have a few comments before I get back to reading.

I didn't know about the Simba picture...and shame on them for getting your hopes up and not adding him! DM did an excellent job of adding him in! Go DM!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I still don't see anything wrong with your eye in the pictures...that person probably wasn't looking at it...silly Jo.

My parents are together...HOWEVER we did take a trip to WDW in 2003 with my DIVORCED Grandpa and Grandma. Don't ask me how it happened that way, it just did. And they didn't fight as much as we thought they would...but I also tried to stay out of their way most of the time.

okay...back to reading!

Spoodles sounds good to me! I love spicy! I'm from New Orleans after all....so it's in my nature to love it.

That pic of you and David at the BW is super cute!! :flower3:

I'm caught up!! :thumbsup2

Looks like y'all had a LOT of fun at BB. I know what you mean about those STAIRS! Gosh! The lift was really busy when we went last summer (July..so to be expected) so I walked up those stairs a LOT.

Cute family pic on the raft! Next time take one in the wave pool, too!

I loved the Hoop de Doo Review review;) I hadn't seen a report where someone has done this. It looked like fun, especially banging on the washboards.

My girls were also among the millions watching HSM2. They  Josh.
The girls and David really enjoyed it, my DD's love chad and Ellie aspires to be Sharpay

You didn't have much to catch up with CE did you :rotfl2: OK now WTH are grits, answers on the TFW thread ;) :rotfl2:

Thanks Michelle I knew you'd be the one to go too :thumbsup2 I'll say about Jess's hand over on TFW!

Thanks for catching up and maybe we might have ummm had a pool photo taken another day :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Great update, Jo! I don't know if we'll ever get to the HDDR -- I have a hard time getting my mind around the cost. But of course, if you have the free dining, why not? ;) Your girls look so cute participating in the washboard thumpin'.

I've never tried any of the fancy 2 credit places, so can't comment on that. Surely they have some normal food in those restaurants.......

Hope you're having a great day!! :hippie:

Another great chapter. HDDR looks fun. My Grandma used to be in this band called the Merry Hearts. She did most of the singing and played the washboard. The band performed at various nursing homes...

Looking forward to another chapter.

Hey Jo, just wanted to let you know that I'm reading everything. I'm up to page 12. I would skip the chit chat but people tend to get answers to any questions that I had so I have to read it all. I'm always afraid I will miss something. Lovin' the report. The uniforms are cute. You guys got lots of cool stuff (hats, princesses, stickers). Can't wait to catch up but I've got to get going.

What???:confused3 :lmao:

OK now WTH are grits, answers on the TFW thread ;) :rotfl2:
Trying......to..........stay.......on.........topic.......:headache:

Ok.......
Grits: definition number 1:

Definition number 2:
Grits is a type of corn porridge and a food common in the Southern United States consisting of coarsely ground corn. This is similar to many other thick maize-based porridges from around the world such as polenta. It also has a lesser resemblance to farina, a thinner porridge.

I'm not sure which one CE loves! :lmao:

Chit-chat?? What chit-chat??? :rotfl2:

Why, both!

But I meant that I eat the cereal for breakfast, not the girls.

I think we've all been getting a little chatty and sometimes OT, I wouldn't want to get closed down, so can we take the chatting to TFW :goodvibes

LYall/MI :grouphug:

I think that Arabella Wisp is just a guest that dressed up and brought a friend to pretend to be her handler. :rotfl2:

This TR is so long because you turned part of it into a PTR with your excited plans to go again next year. I wanna go again! If I ever win another trip I'm planning it for August to try and catch all of you later summer travelers.

P.S. We loved the AKL and hated the BWI.

Hey, Jo when are you going to update this thing masquerading as a trip report or is it a pre trip report and why is TE talking about goats again?

Did you really like HDDR? I think it is too country for my family.

How did you have time to watch HSM2, 2 or 3 times? We never even watch tv when we go to Disney?

I waiting for your version of Lapupalooza. And I really really really want to know what David had to say about that night and all the girls. popcorn::

I'm pointing to where we sat last year not to the Croc. We called about 9 months out (that was back when you could book HDDR up to 2 years in advance). I loved HDDR except we didn't like how long it took to get there and I had just ridden MS before they added the wimpy side and although I don't shy away from rides I will never ride another spinning ride like that. It messed something in my body up. I won't go into detail but it took two months before things seemed to be OK again. Weird...

So, if I want to discuss informative Disney related topics I need to join TFW? Can I catch up on Goofyluver's TR first? It's the last thread I'm behind on. :goodvibes
