Founding member

Apparently not. Founding may have been a Jim Lewis thing. The program has had it's problems.

The AKV tapestry became ceremonial robes too small to fit everyone's names. The BLT plague became fountain tiles that rusted and had to be replaced.

They have labeled the initial sale as something to the effect of founding member pricing. However, they did not specify a founding member buy-in requirement or acknowledgement gift/memorial.

That is what I was told too but I was also told that if a "Founder's" was established, we would all be put in retroactively. I didn't make him promise though, because I doubt that would happen, and I didn't want to get into an argument with my guide about it.

But the new ones at BLT look pretty good, and seem to be holding up much better than the originals. We shall see. :)

I am assuming the reference to a "plague" above is to a "plaque" rather than a widespread, infectuous disease, but when speaking of anything Jim Lewis did, I was not entirely sure.

Did they ever finish installing the tiles at Aulani? These sections were totally empty.

But these three were full in September 2012.

I remember people mentioning a year after opening they hadn't finished installing all the tiles. We saw the evidence when we were there in September 2012.

:rotfl: truer words may never have been spoken on this list!

:lmao:

I am not going to lie. I was really hoping to have my name on a fountain tile or walkway brick at VGF. :(
