The purchase of an interest in a multisite timeshare plan (or multisite vacation ownership plan or multisite vacation plan or vacation club) should be based upon its value as a vacation experience or for spending leisure time, and not considered for purposes of acquiring an appreciating investment or with an expectation that the interest may be resold.
Is a phrase found in the FL statutes and required to be added to any multi site timeshare plan. Sounds very similar to the one in the DVC POS which also adds renting to the idea of resale. I guess it's there in large part because the state of FL says it must be.

It's a standard legal disclaimer. Translated, it means:

A) You own nothing.
B) Your interest will depreciate over time.

Your glass is 1/2 empty.

Mine is 1/2 full:

A) You have the right to stay in awesome accommodations, at the best place in the world for the next 38 years.
B) After 38 years you will have got your money's worth, and have many fond memories with family and friends. :)

I know but some on this site want to think it means DVC is trying to limit renting. It's a response to the industry's attempt to sell you something to rent or sell later telling you that you can make a profit.
