Tiny little thing, maybe 2 inches long. It was on the trail and I almost stepped on it. I touched it with a stick and it moved its head slightly. I thought maybe someone had stepped on it or it was too young to be away from its mom(no other turtles around), so I picked it up and brought it home. When I got to my yard, it starting moving around and I dropped it(onto the soft grass luckily). So I got a tupperware container and carried him back where I found it. I put it on the side of the path in the direction it was facing when I found it.

I had a pet turtule in middle school thats about how big it was when i got it.

I don't think turtles are pretty much on their own after they hatch.

We have 7 turtles. :) Lots of turtle posts today. LOL

Turtles are not dependant on their mothers. Once they are laid, they are on their own.

Oh, good! I wasn't sure, but once it showed me it was very alive, I knew I had to put it back where I found it.
