DH came home with a coffee can full of money today. He buys sodas/water for his office (mostly for his own consumption) but sells it to his student workers (he works for a college) if they want something.

The can was mostly coins, which I counted and wrapped, and a small pile of bills. Just shy of $100!

All the soda and stuff comes out of our grocery budget (and it's so much cheaper for him to buy 12 packs instead of bottles in the dining hall), so this is such a nice rebate!

It's all in the Disney can right now - saving for that next trip!

Sometimes I wish the boards had a "like" button like Facebook. :) I would totally thumbs up this right now!

Excellent!!!!
I pay for everything with bills and at the end of the day I put the change in our Disney fund! It really starts to add up and it isn't as "painful" for me to put the money aside.
We take it to our local bank before we go and split it between the kids. This is the only spending money they get. Once it is gone that is all! This helps them learn Yo budget and not to buy frivolously. Last time they each ended up with $75.00 and they both came home with money!

Thats great! If you have a CVS, they have a great deal on cans of pepsi products... your DH shoudl stock up!

I saw that Pepsi deal! It is great! I should go (I literally live across the street from CVS) and get some for him. We don't need any at home, but I didn't think about his work. And I have $14 in ECB to spend there too!

reminds me of DD's friend in H.S. He would have pop in his locker ( school only sells diet or juice/water in machines) and sell it for fifty cents a can...75% less than the school wanted and he was making $ as he bought it on sale ...it was a win -win for everyone, until the school put the kabosh on it, kill-joys.
