FOTLK and Camp minnie mickey

Camp Minnie Mickey meet greet locations will be closing January 5th to make way for the Avatar expansion.

Also part of the Avatar expansion at AK the festival of the lion king will be moving to a new location in 2014. The FOTLK will be down for 6 months as they hire new actors, tear down the old theater and continue building the new one near the Tusker house restaurant.

Thoughts on these projects?

Could really care less about Avatar, haven't seen the movie, don't really have any desire to, lol.

FOLK being closed bums me out too, but I've heard the facility is far superior to the old one, and hopefully it just opens sooner rather than later!

~OMG! This is so exciting! I have been following this closely for years and Avatarland is *finally* moving forward. I can't wait for more developments! Thanks for the update!

New facility will open later this year it was time for a bigger newer facility for the show.
