I know the universal resort key card gives me FOTL at US/IOA. what about Wet 'n Wild?'

Not that I have ever heard of but wouldn't that be sweet???

No. The AP doesnt even include Wet n Wild...which makes me wonder why Universal owns Wet n Wild. There is talks of them moving Wet n Wild on property though when the lease runs out in a year or two.

We managed to fit in a trip to Wet n Wild during our first mid July vacations. NEVER AGAIN! During hot days, the lines are unbearable, and most are on white hot cement walks. We spent a lot of time ducking under the little bits of shade to cool down the feet! There was absolutely nowhere to sit down either. We never did get to try the lazy river part because there were no free tubes available. You could rent a better one for some outrageous charge, but we'd had enough of the place. I think we would've disliked the place even if we hadn't already been spoiled with fotl at US.

Just like the theme parks, the only answer is to arrive early, 45 minutes before the gate opens. Walk in, throw your stuff on a chair near the wave pool, and hi tail it to the most popular slides. You can get on most of them before the lines get huge around 11am. This is the exact same thing that happens at IOA and USF.

Yes, taking a dip in cold water at 9am is tuff, but the sun comes up and makes things better. After that, it's time to relax in the lazy river and wave pool.

The only other times the lines are short, is after it rains and they make everyone wait before getting back in the water. This would happen around 4pm on most summer days.

In July I would take that scenario over going to the theme parks, at least at a waterpark you get to go on the slides and get wet and cool off,I find that way better than being in an hour line sweating along with all the other sweaty, smelly people.I remember I went to MGM during Star Wars weekends in May, not even the middle of summer and the temperature went up to 97, everyone was literally soaked in sweat, I would have taken that day any waterpark, I know Wet'N Wild needs some more shade hopefully If Universal does move the park they theme it nicer with more trees.I also can't wait for Sea World's new waterpark Aquatica, that one I guarantee will be full of lush trees with plenty of shade.
