Hi All!!!

We are going to both parks in August (17th & 20th) Does anyone think FOTL passes are woth the cost of $39.99 each ($120 for the 4 of us).

Here are some other details that might help in retrieving answers...LOL

2Adults
2 kids (12/7) 7yr old is only 50 inches! (unless the stretching machine works harder!!!!)

Got my park admission tickets for free!

This is the first visit for us to ANY Universal Studios park, so I think all attractions will be wanted to be visited.

We are very seasoned DLR veterans (60 days in 5 yrs, and we live 2000miles away), but Universal seems a bit more intense!

All responses greatly appreciated, looking forward to some comments!

Have a wonderful day!

Based upon the price, it would not be a busy time. If you are staying on property FoTL comes with the room. I personally love the FOTL, once you experience it, you'll wonder why you ever stood in regular lines. However, the FOTL that you purchase is only good for 1 major ride per day.

If the 12 yr old loves rides and so do the adults, you might consider staying in one of the onsite resorts that compare to the deluxe at Disney.

Since WWoHP is opening in June and you're going in August, I think it would be to your benefit to purchase Express Plus passes...there is no such thing as a FOTL pass. However...I would wait until you arrive to see how the lines are since the EPs are date specific and non-refundable. But...with the crowds coming to Universal this summer for Mr. Potter, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and purchase them before the price changes...which can happen. The $39.99 rate for the one park EP is the "middle of the road" price which indicates it's going to be busier than a typical day but not swamped.

Keep in mind that no one is 100% sure if The Forbidden Journey will be included with the Express pass since the queue experience will take a while to do. But...the crowds will definitely be at IOA so the EP will help on the other attractions.

I would most definitely wait until you get there. if the lines get long then buy it. That is what I am planning on doing mid september. It will be very hard to say whether HP is going to make a difference in attendance after summer peak. The best thing however is if you can pick when you go, definitely don't go on weekends and make sure you get to park when it opens.
