FOTL Question

Hi,
This will be our first visit to IOA, and would it be necessary to purchase FOTL passes in the second week of December, as far as crowds go?

I'm a little confused as to how they work...
Do you first have to enter the Park with a regular pass, then find the location that has the FOTL passes?

Also, do you need to stay on-site to get FOTL passes, and roughly how much are they?

HI

if you stay on site at one of the universal hotels, Hard Rock, Royal Pacific, Portafino Bay- you automatically receive FOTL- it is included with your hotel stay

i think someone else maybe able to elaborate if you will need this in dec-though i imagine it would be handy around x-mas
