Hi all, I'm new to the boards. There's a lot of great info here, but I have one question I haven't seen asked.

We are staying at HRH over Christmas, my sister and her family are staying on site at Disney. We all plan to do the parks together. My question is; Can I give my Brother-in-Law my room key so he can use FOTL access instead of me? I don't ride many rides and will be spending most of the time with my sis and the kids doing things with them. But it would be great if my DH had a riding partner, but if he has Unlimited FOTL access and my BIL just buys a one use express pass that won't work so well.

Thanks in advance and I apologize if this has been covered before.

I strongly advise against it as your name will be on the room key. The express line attendant may question it.

the hotel keys for fotl are only for the hotel guests.

once the tm saw a female name on the hotel key and a male using it, they might call a supervisor besides reporting it.

not worth the trouble or embarrassment.

Thanks for the quick response, I see there are some night owls here like me! :surfweb:

I agree that would be embarassing, I wasn't sure if the names were on the key card.

If I changed our reservation to 3 people instead of 2, and put my BIL as the third guest would that be cheating since he's actually staying at Disney? The cost for an extra person $25, would be well worth the benefit.

I think that would be ok. However, don't be surprised if your BIL decides to sleeps in the room if he sees it.:rotfl:

I think this is a great idea. He'll still get a key with his real name on it and you don't have to worry about trying to hide anything.:thumbsup2

that would work.
you list him as the third adult, pay the $25 per night and you have it all.

keep in mind that the fotl hotel key is valid for the day of check in and the day you check out.

if he is on for one night only, he gets the fotl perk for that day and the next.

let the front desk know when he "checks out" so you only are paying for the night/s on your ressie.
