FOTL Question and WWOHP

We are arriving at Universal on August 11th and staying onsite for 5 nights. I know to go to the right when entering the park for early entry to WWOHP. I have read that lines are reaching up to 3 hours to get into WWOHP when arriving later in the day. If you are staying onsite, do you get to bypass this 3 hour wait when arriving later in the day?

No, you get the 1 hour early entry into the park. If you don't get to the park prior to that then you have to wait in line to get into the area with the general public.

If you have to arrive later then I would suggest waiting until after 3pm then it seems the lines are gone to get into the WWOHP area. Your express pass is only good on DC and FOTH and not FJ at this time.

We will be in Orlando during the week of 28 Aug-4 Sept. Based on what I have read, I was leaning towards visiting WWOHP on Tues or Wed. Any suggestion as to best arrival time?
