During Spring Break '11 or '12, plan on taking a 3-4 day Disney cruise, then staying at Universal for 3 more days to try out Harry Potter and some of the other rides, now that my son is finally getting to enjoy roller coasters. Since it is spring break, we will stay at one of the Universal hotels to enjoy FOTL privileges. Question is, since it is spring break and those hotels will probably be full, how much of a advantage is the FOTL passes?

Thanks :goodvibes!

Spring Break is very busy at all local parks and with the popularity of WWoHP the crowds during SB next year will be extremely high. Staying onsite with the unlimited Express access is very important to keep the lines at a minimum. You won't regret it I assure you.

So the last visit I made to Universal the FOTL was for every ride . I know because HP is new that you can not use it there but can you use it for the old DD and the old Unicorn ride ( I do not know the new names ) ? Also I hear you can not use it for the new coaster in the studio part the hollywood rip rockin rockit or what ever the name is . Just wondering we may be heading down on a last min. vacation as there are rooms where we want to stay for the days we want on site . any help ?? Thanks

Probably won't be going down until 2012, the more I look at it. We'll probably look into some kind of special HP package if they still have them, so hopefully we can get there early. That way we can still hit the rides without much of a wait. If not, be there at rope drop. Since it will be almost two years at that time, hopefully all the rides will be FOTL, but will just have to plan accordingly if not.

Except for the cruise, this leaves out Disney for a couple of years, but I can't pull DS out of school in high school like I did in elementary school - did it for three days in middle school and lived to regret it (and so did he). So quick trip this year, then plan for a long vacation during SP.

Hey Metro,

I know both times will be crowded but what time do you think will be better?
November 19-25 or April 2-8.

Personally...I would go with a November visit. The weather is perfect and the crowds aren't too bad leading up to Thanksgiving. Just don't go that weekend!

Thanks Metro. Thank you for this answer and all the dozens of questions that you have answered for me over the years.
