I understand that by staying at a universal hotel one gets to use FOTL pass?
Does this include all rides? or just the biggies?

Pretty much all rides.

And one tours the aprk w/o FOTL pass by walking around the park and entering attractions through their normal entrance. FOTL really doesn't affect the average guest all too much, so one doesn't need to worry about not having FOTL, it is a nice sounding perk though.

To my rememberance, the two rides that did not allow FOTL were Woody's Nut House Coaster and the Flying Unicorn Coaster.

Also - although I never have gotten on the Ptyranadon Flyer - I am told you have to have a child, and FOTL does not apply. But I may be wrong on that!

Hi............

FOTL is a PERK for onsite guest. It gives them front of the line access to ALL rides at both parks. EXCLUDING Nickelodeon, Slimetime, etc. in that area. FOTL guest get to go into the "express" line, and in a lot of cases have to wait also, however the wait is considerably less, some times NO wait at all. It is FANTASTIC, especially when the park is crowded, and I for one LOVED it, and will never go again without staying onsite.

With that said, anyone else can get into the regular lines and still ride......... OR get an express book which allows you to use fotl once for each ride in the book............ others would have to help you out with this, as we didn't do that. OR you can use your ticket to get 1 fotl express pass, for 1 particular ride, and your pass must be used at the time listed on it. i.e. say you get E.T. and the time printed on the pass is 1:00, you need to be at the express ride line at 1:00 to show the attendant your ticket, then you get to go on. Usually very very little wait...... it is express after all.

It really does pay to familiarize yourself with all the options avail. because it can and does get confusing. BUT, if you can stay onsite, that is the BEST way to go, you get fotl all day everyday of your stay, and you can use it as many times as you want...... over and over and over again............ it is fantastic!!!!!

Have a wonderful trip no matter which way you do it...... you'll have a blast!!!!

CC1954 is CORRECT...... those rides are also not fotl!!!! Sorry I left those out!!!

One other thing..... with using your ticket to get an express pass for the 1 ride, once that particular ticket has been used, or the time stamped has passed, you can then get another ticket for another ride.............. it is IMPERATIVE however that if you do this, you get to the machine AS SOON AS you enter the park..... as a HUGE line will form to get these!!!

It can be done. The thing is, you won't feel like you're relaxing. I've easily done both parks in 1 day, but I was hitting the highlites. I mean, if you wanna see everything, you need 2 days. There's no way you can see everything in 1 day, even with a tour, because the length of the show and rides at USF will expire your time. Plus, it would be a long day, you'd be exhausted in the afternoon.

Wendypooh - just to expand on what you said about after time has passed on your express passes that you get at the machines - our experience has been that you can use that anytime AFTER the time on the slip, and they will accept it. I don't know if ther is some "after" time limit?

Actually, the two small coasters do have FOTL. When we were there last April we entered through the exit. We were there last month (without FOTL) and I saw people doing the same at Woody's and I think on the Nuthouse, too, but wasn't paying attention to it there so don't know for sure). Pteranadon Flyers does not have it so if you have a child the right height that should be done first thing in the morning to avoid a long line.

T&B

Unicorn does have express. P-Flyers doesnt and Woody's coaster sometimes does.
