We will be visiting US/IOA in July but staying at Disney using DVC. Should I plan on booking a night or two onsite at Universal at the beginning or end of the trip? End I am thinking because we will know what we want to repeat and not be spoiled at the beginning of the trip. Also, what should I expect to pay for a room? Thanks!

Definitely at the end...fotl spoils you too much. Check prices on the website, thats a busy period. AAA rates usually the best if you dont have AP. I am going in june and my rate is 263$ at RPR but thats club level. RPR is usually the least expensive.

I agree with lindalinda. Do it at the end of your trip. FOTL is the best, and you will definitely not feel like waiting in line or using Fastpass at WDW after UO. So far, our favorite is RPR Club too. We love the convenience. Have fun!

I always go to Universal first and Disney last... as great as FOTL is, Disney is closer to my heart and I save that for last.

We did a December trip staying at the HRH for 2 nights before checking into BWV for 5 nights... Next trip, we will end our trip at HRH.... Once you have FOTL it is hard to go back, although our girls got to ride most rides at WDW 2 times in a row (child swap) and that seemed to sooth them a bit, but they still prefer to ride the Flying Unicorn 12 times in a row hands down!
