Okay, some of you may remember that I made a thread a while ago about how we were going to foster dogs for a charity. Well we've been doing so for about two months now and I just wanted to share some pics and experiences. As a lot of you know I love animals, especially horses and I have a lickle dog called Lexi and a pony called Comet. Animals are my weakness.

This is the charity- not high profile and mainly operating within Wales but stretching across to some parts of England.

So our first foster dog Harry was a springer spaniel who stayed with us for 5 days.

Harry was found wondering the streets and was picked up by the local pound, he was then rescued and put into kennels. Harry is about 10months old. Sadly Harry's forever home aren't getting on with him and he has been showing aggressive signs so he will be coming back to us on Monday for further fostering.

Our second dog was a puppy of one of the pound dogs rescued. Lucy was a beautiful two year old collie x alsation who's owners gave her up for finanical reasons.

She was the sweetest dog you've ever met and was successfully rehomed last week.

We also had an overnighter, a lovely pointer cross. We picked her up from the home of some very distraught owners who were giving her up. We're not sure why because neither we or her foster mummy have experienced any problems, she is the sweetest little thing. Sammy is still looking for her forever home.

We're really lucky we haven't had the majorly traumatised dogs with all sorts of issues or the road traffic accident dogs they tend to go to the quieter adult only foster homes. It just really upsets that people can abuse their dogs and send them to the streets. Now I am kind of wondering the point of this thread but oh well xD

I wish there was a place around here that did that. Of course, this would mean talking my mom into having a dog, even for a short while.

They're just so cute!

Aw Haz, all the dogs you've had are so cute!
That's a shame about Harry, but I'm glad you have another chance at fostering him. :goodvibes
I would love to foster a dog at some point. It would just take a lot of convincing. : )

Wow, your so lucky. Those dogs are adorable. :)

I don't think I could do that, even if I wanted to. I'd probably end up wanting to keep all the dogs I was sent to foster and then my house would be over-run with them.

Good luck with it, though! I hope they all find good homes.

They're all adorable, and that's a wonderful thing you and your family are doing :)

Harry the spaniel arrived back to us this evening. He has growled at my dad twice and is very unsure of himself. He also seems a little depressed. He has been totally confused and dominant over his previous owners so we're hoping that by us being certain we are leaders he will be certain he follows.
(My dad is like a cesar milan lover xD)
He's been fine with me, led on my floor for a while and came and sat by me. I always end up the favourite on the first few days, I reckon I'm calmer than my family who tend to be ommgg new dog omgg (I had Lucy on my lap in the car when we picked her up, to go jack russell to alsation like that is actually quite scary xD They're so big but she was so gentle.)
