Forward section of the Ship

Hi! At the time I booked, room 6532 was the only cat. 6 room left. I really enjoy staying in the aft section of the ship and was hoping to switch to another room but unfortunately, no rooms became available. Should I try to switch at the port or will I be happy with this room in the forward area of the ship? I really like the aft section because it's close to the kid's pool and the buffet restaurant (I like to fill up my bfast tray and eat it on the verandah). Are there any reasons why people like the forward area of the ship?

We stayed in SPR (forward) and loved the location. Just down or up to the WD theater and shops.

Of our six cruises, we have had two with forward rooms and 4 with aft. We liked the forward better, because of easier access to the adult pool. spa, and entertainment areas. Also, to us the elevator's seemed less crowded and more available forward. If anything, ship movement seemed less up front. I realize when the stern goes down the bow goes up, but it seemed calmer in the forward cabins.
With kids, the back of the ship is probably a little easier. Look at it from a positive perspective - since you have to walk farther to get food, you will burn more calories, and therefore you can eat more!

We live in the Lansing area. What part are you in? I see alot of people on these boards are from michigan.

We live in Oakland County, about 15 miles north of Pontiac. Will this be your first cruise? This will be our first cruise on the Magic but we have gone on 3 Wonder cruises and love it!
