...the same thing too, since we will be doing a split stay in Feb (w/AKL!)....

The 2400 and 2500 loops are closest to the bus stop, laundry, and quiet pool.

I would request a cabin 1-2 in on the loop rather than a specific loop. Some of the loops are quite large so being towards the back(which some people may perfer) would be long walk to the bus stop.

We stayed in 2462 and it was perfect.

We were in 2604 when we stayed there last year. This was in a great location because we were a very short walk to the (internal) bus stop. This is a large loop but being at the beginning or the end of it is a great location.

If you rent a golf cart then you really don't have to be too concerned about your location. We rented one and found it to be very convenient. If you have a car you can park it at your cabin and drive to the main depot to pick up buses to the parks. But, you can't drive to the Pioneer Hall area (there is where TEB is and the dock for MK/WL/CR).

If you don't have a car or a golf cart you definitely want to try to request to be at the entrance or exit area of a loop near a bus stop. Not sure they requests are being taken but in your mom's case I'm sure they'll try to work with you.

The following map should be helpful to determine where the loops are located in reference to the bus stops. Fort Wilderness MAP You should be able to zoom in on it or print it out, hope it helps:p It's a fun place to stay!

Also be sure to check out the "Camping at Disney World" thread-lots of FW pros there can give you more ideas and advice:teeth:

The "loop" buses or "internal" buses usually run every 10-20 minutes depending on the time of the day. They take you throughout the FW campground area. If you're going to a park you would then need to transfer over to another bus or the boat to MK. There's a boat that also goes to the CR. The boats and buses taking you out of FW also run about every 10-20 minutes.

I believe there are a few different "internal" bus routes so I'm not sure if you may have to transfer to more than one bus in some cases.
