I was thinking about exploring FW a little on this trip, and I'd like to check out the Tri Circle D and see where they keep the horses. Looking at the FW map, it lists two locations- one for carriage rides, and one for trail rides. Do they keep the draft horses up at the carriage ride location? Which is the best to visit just to look around?

Also, if someone could provide directions to the lawnmower tree, and anything else good to see there, I'd really appreciate it!

HI, Hope this helps you.
The lawnmower tree --as you are coming up from the boat dock at the fork in the road it is just on your right. It is pretty overgrown now.
The Tri Circle - D is located just beyond and to your right of the HDD theatre. You can rent small ponies there for $4.00 each for small children. You have to walk with them and lead them. The barn housing all the Belgians, ect is right beyond that. When we were there in Oct. they brought one of the big horses out so we could see it close-up and pet it.
The horses for the trail ride are kept in another location up near the main entrance to FW.
You'll see the most by staying down around the HDD and Trail's End restaurant area.
