Fort Wilderness/Trails End Restaurant

My dh and I are heading to the World in 3 weeks. We have an afternoon open to relax and go resort hopping. DH was asking me if the restaurant at FW has the fried chicken (he loves it there). Is Trails End a restaurant that needs reservations for lunch? Or is it treated like a counter service for lunch? Thanks!

It is a sit down table service. Make reservations to be safe.

We've camped there for years and have never needed a reservation nor have we ever had to wait over 5-10 min. They've gone downhill in the last years though and we do not go there anymore. It's just "OK" and the prices have doubled. We would rather eat in our MH if we decide not to eat in the parks or other resorts. They usually do have the fried chicken though, but you can check on allears to make sure.

Trail's End TS @ FW use to have a buffet at lunch but doesn't any longer the menu is a la carte now.
The last menu I saw had fried chicken and waffles as a choice at the TS lunch.

Also...

There is a "to go" area at Trail's End where you can get fried chicken for lunch and you could bring it over near the marina where there are tables and chairs so could have a nice lakeside chicken lunch!
