Fort Wilderness to Downtown Disney

What would be the quickest way to get there? I know the Fort Wilderness bus system can be confusing and drawn out. We're going to the Hoop Dee Doo at 5:00, and wanted to go right to Downtown Disney afterwards.

Is there a boat that goes direct from Fort Wilderness to the Wilderness Lodge? Or, does the ferry going to the TTC, stop at the Contemporary first?

There is a boat that goes to WL, but if you're at the HDDR, you might be better off going to the bus area right at the Settlement and taking a bus to WL -- it's very close.

The ferry from FW and WL does not got to the TTC, but there is a ferry that just goes between FW, WL and the Contemporary.

The fastest way would be to go to the bus stop at Settlement and hop on a bus for Downtown Disney. The buses are very efficient there....we've never had a problem. Have fun!

At the Settlement bus stop you get on a Yellow, Orange or Purple bus to take you to the Outpost bus stop and then from there you would get a bus to Downtown Disney. There is no bus that takes you to DtD from the Settlement.

The Settlement bus stop is right in front of Pioneer Hall, Trails End Restaurant and Crockett's Tavern. The Outpost bus stop is near the FW check-in area in front of the Tri-Circle D Ranch. There are three bus routes in FW, Purple, Yellow and Orange. All three run between the Settlement and Outpost bus stops they just take different routes through the campground. Busses run to other WDW Resort locations from both the Settlement and Outpost stops. IIRC, to go to MGM you catch the bus at the Settlement stop, to go to Epcot you catch the bus at the Outpost stop. I believe any bus, other than the interal bus route, that uses the Settlement stop goes to/comes from the WL. Any of the bus drivers can direct you to the correct location to get the bus you want.

I looked on another website, and I see what you're saying. It appears that the purple bus will pick us up at Settlement and bring us directly to Outpost, and then there's a direct bus from Outpost to Downtown Disney.

I've been to the Hoop Dee Doo 3 or 4 times, and for the life of me, can't recall where there is a bus stop near Pioneer Hall. I'm sure we'll have no problem in finding it though.

It's pretty simple...walk out the doors of Pioneer Hall and turn right. Although, after all the all-you-can-drink beer and wine, I find that to be a challenge.

Purple, yellow or orange, all 3 internal busses go from settlement to outpost, take the one thats there first or least crowded and enjoy.
