I put up about 55 photos on my site (with review), which I can't mention anymore. But here I am:

The Segways are all-terrain, and you do go on the path to the Wilderness Lodge - and on a nature trail, and different areas that I've covered walking. The tour is only in a test phase now, but I hope they will keep it. It's a LOT of fun!

Thanks Denise. I enjoyed your review and photos on your site you can't mention any more! :confused3 I really appreciate all your information and effort.

Keep up the good work!:yay:

Thanks Judy!

I am glad you enjoyed the review. :) I was happy to trail the second class (of 1!) to get some actual shots of training and such too.

My husband would love that! I'd really like to be able to see your review.

Ooooh! That looks AWESOME!

Can you PM me with the website address of your review? I woud love to read it!!!

From what I gather,Denise can't tell you :sad1: but I found a terrific site where the new segway tour at Fort Wilderness is reviewed!! :cheer2:

Go to a site called "mousesteps" .com and you should be able to find it quite easily. On the home page there is a section on the lower left for "New Articles". The Segway Tour review is there.

LOL! Thank you very much - I am not sure on "terrific" site, but I hope that the review helps the tours fill up (because I would like it to continue so I can take it again!!!)

One moderator (just one that I knew of, others were fine with it) didn't want the links up. To be fair, he offered me to appeal that decision and I didn't.

The Segways were awesome, I loved the larger tires and sturdiness of the XT!

Thanks so much for posting the tour review on that certain site. After seeing your pics, I'm practically praying that the tour continues ... I need to try out the XT/X2s during my Oct visit. Sure the standard Segway is cool, but the XT is a MONSTER!! Why ride a compact when you can ride a Hummer?

For some reason, the XT conjures up my childhood 'ROBOCOP' dreams ... mounting a Segway offroad with an ED209 backing me up!! ... if nobody gets the ref then shame on you, and then google/wiki the ED209 :thumbsup2

I am glad you enjoyed the photos/review! I'm not sure I'd think "Robocop", but the XT is certainly a much more rugged model - and now I'll feel like I'm getting on a "wimpy" Segway on any different tour. :)

I'm really hoping this one lasts, but I've said that so many times!

I just wanted to say that it is looking good for the FW Segway tour to continue. If you are at all interested, though - definitely let Disney know! They now have signs up around FW mentioning it as well. I stopped by there today to talk to the tour guides for a few minutes.

I just booked this tour for September and can't wait! Has anyone been on it recently? Most of the reviews I have found are from back when it was still in the test phase...

I did it last October. It was excellent! Although, I did fall on my pride ::lmao: Word of advice, don't get too confident on that thing. They will train you around cones, up and down hill, and how to properly dismount. I did excellent until it was time to get off. I was Bronco Mama for about 5 seconds before it finally bucked me off. And what does DH say..."Do it again, I want it on camera!" In all seriousness, it was fun. We had the all-terrains which did great through the sand, gravel, mulch, and pot holes. Our path was the paved path to the WL trail and the sand trail back, along with a little looping, the horseback riding trail, and the walking path behind the 300 loop.
