Fort Wilderness Music

Howdy,

Does anyone know if the soundtracks that are played throughouot the Fort and I think Wilderness Lodge as well are available on a CD anywhere? Might this even be available in WDW and where that might be?

I've only stayed at Ft. Wilderness in December, so all I've heard is "Wildernesserized" Christmas Music.

What do they play normally??

I know that there is a list online somewhere of all the music played at Wilderness Lodge. I'm not positive about FW's music loops, though. But I do know this... if you have high-speed internet access, check out Live365.com. There are literally thousands of free online radio stations there that you can listen to... and if you search on "Disney" you'll get about 25 (give or take) to choose from.

My absolute favorites to listen to are in the VIP category, which unfortunately requires the paid membership (but I think it may only be $5.00 per month???) Whenever I can get high-speed access (not at home anymore, bummer!) I'm listening to the various MouseWorld X stations (MouseWorld X, X2 and X3). Those three stations play a lot of the longer background area music loops (BGMs as they call them). You can also find out more information at their website: MouseWorld Radio You can even scroll down about half-way and click on their "What's Playing Now" button and view what's playing on all of their stations, as it's playing. I think either X2 or X3 has a loop from Trails End (or somewhere in FW I think! But don't hold me to it!)

Oh, the music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't notice it in 2000, but I will NEVER forget the trip in Dec. 2002. We were setting up the camper and the kids headed down to the petting zoo alone. Twilight was approaching so I headed down there alone to get them. As I got closer to the marina area (you know the path that goes through the trees right before you get there), I could hear the most BEAUTIFUL music playing softly in the background. I swear, for a moment, I thought I was in a dream, and I was going to wake up, cold in PA. The wind was blowing a gentle warm breeze, the twinkle lights were glowing, the music playing softly.............pure heaven!!!

Oh, that. It's the musical mushrooms. At least that is what my family calls them, as the speakers are apparently inside these things that look like mushrooms. There are a couple of paths on which you can hear music, and we really enjoyed them, especially when no one else was there because you really noticed the music and it was just this "magical" moment that would stick with you.

I wanna buy a magical mushroom, but I bet it just isn't the same outside of FW............
