Dh, the kids and I are bursting with excited and we're sooo ready for this vacation! We have 30 hours to go (yep leaving at 4am Friday morning). We're hoping to avoid some of the spring break traffic on I-75 by leaving Friday rather than Saturday...we'll see! We've already loaded the cart, the camper is washed and clean...one more day of work and then we'll hit the road! The extent of my pre-trip report are the pics below ;)

WE'RE leaving Friday too!! Yippee! 6:00 AM is our target ETD from Knoxville, so we should be getting to Orlando around 4:00 if all goes well. Staying off-site for a couple days, and will check in on Sunday in time for our group photo (don't forget everyone!@!!) at 12:00 NOON. Hopefully, we'll get in PLENTY of Disney before Sunday though... HDDR, DTD, even the campfire the night before :J)

See you soon everyone  :cloud9:

We're leaving Friday too and even though I live only a little more than an hour away, we have to wait for the kids to get out of school, so we won't be there until around 4:00 too. I wish we could leave earlier but the kids don't want to miss school at all ever, not even for FW.

Smart move taking the top of of the cart...many say its fine to travel with it, but the possibility IS there for it to crack under wind force, blow off and cause trouble behind you. And at the very least, with the price of gas... the wind drag might cost you a few extra bucks ( maybe not with the trailer right behind you....but better safe than sorry)

...ARE WE THERE YET !?!?! ARE WE THERE YET !?!?! I gotta pee !

You just reminded me of how long the trips gonna be. I've got a 2 year old thats potty training. I can handle it for Ft Wilderness though.

Yep, we have a 3 year old who has to go every hour and a 2 year old that I've purposely waiting to potty train until after this trip!

Yes, we learned the hard way by losing a windshield when we first purchased it!:scared1: Luckily there was no damage to the cart or anything else. If we're traveling over 45mph for an extended amount of time...we're taking both the windshield and the top off!

I think I remember someone saying (maybe Terri?) that there was a berm somewhere at the Fort that they used to help lessen the angle on the ramps when loading/unloading?

Who? Me bitter? :lmao: Just a little green with envy. ;) Have a fantastic time!! I wish we were going back right now. If you have to go thru Atlana, hopefully it will be EARLY in the morning. We hit the worst traffic and it took us over 2 hours on the way home. Take lots of pictures!!

Thanks all...the kiddo's are already in bed and EVERYTHING is finally packed. I can't beleive its done and we dont have to stay up late packing (like we normally do)!! Hope to see several of you guys there! :thumbsup2

Swing by Buford and pick us up. We'll be waiting at the curb.:cool1:

They'll be a little late getting to Buford to pick you up Dis Dawg because coming up to Massachusetts to pick me up will add a little time to their travel. My suitcase is packed, and I too, will be waiting curbside. :thumbsup2

p.s. I'm already potty trained so you don't have to worry 'bout that!

p.p.s. I'll bring the snacks for the road :woohoo:
