Anyone have any advice on this? We are arriving on Sunday afternoon and were thinking of just taking it easy and looking at a few resorts that day and not going into a park, we were also thinking of checking out the nightly campfire program that is held nightly do you need to be staying at that resort to go to that? We are staying on property at another resort but thought this might be a neat little thing for our daughter to go to.

Campfire activities are open to public and you do not have to be staying at Fort Wilderness. We went several years ago, and really enjoyed it! My DS was 3 at the time, so we did not stay for much of the movie as he was tired. We did enjoy sing-a-long and Chip and Dale. He loved toasting marshmellows. You can bring your own marshmellows etc or buy them and other treats at the concession stand.
I found this to be a nice, relaxing evening away from the parks. We plan to do this again in April on our next visit.
Some people bring lawn chairs (but usually only the campers have these) blankets to sit on - or there is a bleacher area too.
Hope you have a great trip!
Ann:)
