Fort Wilderness Cabins

So what are your thoughts on the Cabins? What did you like/dislike vs. other mods? Did you actually use the kitchen, like the proximity to the parks, and other amenities on the grounds?

best resort ever. we have made multiple trips to cabins and always enjoy it. Have with grandchildren and by ourselves and feel it is Disney's best value. Full kitchen allows for meals, convenient to magic kingdom via boat, lots of other acitivities. If car rental able to park next to cabin. Try them you love it

We used to stay at the cabins all the time when our kids were younger. Now, our sons are grown and have no desire to go to WDW. My husband doesn't love Disney but we're taking our 17 yo either in the Fall or right after the New Year. We are seriously considering the cabins for our trip. It's so peaceful. We like that it's a mini house-as DVC members, that is what attracts us to those resorts. Our daughter wants to camp and that is about as close to camping as I'm willing to go.
