Fort Wilderness Cabin or CBR

I am looking to book a weekend trip in Oct. 2021. We are spending most of the week at Universal but the last 2 nights at Disney. Hoping the Halloween party will be back, if not we will do one day at Magic Kingdom.

We will spend lots of time at the pool and exploring the resort. I’m looking at Fort Wilderness or CBR.
CBR looks great for the pool and we can take a ride on the skyliner. We also want to check out Riviera since we are thinking of adding on DVC points.

Fort Wilderness also looks fun and we can take the boat to MK.

We always have a car so getting around isn’t too hard and don’t factor too much. Family of 5. Kids will be 17,6,4

Never stayed at the CBR but I'm at the Fort right now. I don't know how your kids feel about trick or treating but if you have access to a golf cart you all can do all the loops and see all the decorations that the campers have put up as well as ToT. You of course can bike or walk but the cart covers more ground. There's a bunch of decorations up right now but I understand it's nothing compared to a more "normal" October. Pools are open and heated and there's the boat that goes direct to the MK.

I never wanted to stay at the cabins over the years and have stayed at CBR a few times. A few years ago we tried the cabins out and really loved it there. We had a car as well so getting around was easy. The pool area for the cabins was nice but plain. But for what you are doing I would choose CBR. It is a fun and colorful place to walk around and with the skyliner you could head over to the Epcot resort area for a stroll.
