Fort Wilderness at Christmas

My husband, 6 year old son and I will be staying at FW Cabins for the first time from 19th December to 26th December. This we be our first Christmas away from London so was wondering what to expect. Do they do anything special at this time? We arrive in Disney on 7th December and are staying at ASM Family Suites first so hopefully will have visted all the parks before things get too busy.

December is a beautiful time to be at Fort Wilderness, all the campers decorate there sites. I like the weather that time of year to. The parks are really decorated realy neat. Last year we did the Hoop Dee Do Music review Dinner Show it was kinda different for the Holidays. Have Fun. You might consider renting a golf cart to enjoy all the camp sites decoration.

On Christmas day, the Recreation group had arts and crafts at the Meadows Pool. There were games - a Scavenger hunt, Christmas present wrapping contest, doughnut eating contest. You will have to drive around and see the decorations. Especially loop 300.

FW is GREAT at Christmas.We have stayed ma times and you will be amazed how much campers decorate. They actually have a decorating competition. Trails Inn also has a special menu for the holidays. Another nice thing to do would be that a carriage ride to see some of the decorations.

Last year on Christmas Eve, we walked down to Trail's End. There were a few characters walking around and Santa was sitting on the porch. There was no one else around, so my boys had all the characters and Santa to themselves! It was great!
