Fort Myers dinning

Has anybody got any good reccommendations for NYE dinning in or around Fort Myers.Must be suitable for kids,and not too expensive. We would like to book to ensure we get somewhere,but it's hard to tell what they are like by their websites, they all look similar.

I'll see if I can find anyone who can help you with this - I asked our Florida relative but he only goes to Fort Myers on business so couldn't help.

I would call the Sanibel Harbor resort in Ft. Myers, right before you get to Sanibel. I bet they have some great things going on on NYE that would include the kiddies.
Also check the Diamond Head resort on Ft. Myers Beach. I know the beach has some activitis going on that night as well.
There are also all the chain restaurants like Carabas, Olive Garden, Outback and Applebees that I'm sure would be suitable for kids and inexpensive.
They also just opened a Joe's Crab shack downtown, very festive place!
I'm in WDW right now, but when I get home I'll check to see if anything is being advertised for NYE yet.
If you have any specific places you have seen advetised let me know and I can tell you about it.

If you get a chance to go to Sanibel, try the Harbor House. Small family owned restaurant that has been consistently fabulous for the past 20 years! It is on Periwinkle Way.

How long are you spending in Fort Myers and have you been before. We love this area.

Especially the outlets nr Sanibel, Johnny Leverocks, The Castle Mini Golf (superb course) and all the other little restaurants around.

Mrs. Dazzle, I live right near those outlets! They are the best, not too many, just enough to be able to navigate them. They just put in a whole new plaza acroos the steet on Summerlin with a Publix. I saw a new restaurant that is going in there and it looks very nice. Have you ever driven by the homes with the tin roofs? That's where I'm at.

Thanks for the replys, we're getting married on the 30th Dec this year in Fort myers. We've penciled in Lover's Key for the ceremony,if the weather's bad it'll be at our Virgin Villa. Never been before, been to St Pete's a couple of years ago. It all looks lovely around that area. Geoff

Leech - Married on Lovers Key - fantastic, what a lovely day you will both have It really is beatiful around there.

There's loads to see and do in or around Ft Myers, or nothing at all other than relaxing if that;s what you need, too

Cheryl - way cool to live there, lucky you We had a really good look around this time and thought there was some lovely areas (especially when we took the back roads to try and avoid the worst of the traffic jam on the 42 the day your of your young police officer's funeral).

We like the look of Junkanoo on the beach and Anthony's on the beach. do you know if they would be suitable for families? For maybe after the Wedding or NYE. Sorry I havn't replied for some time, my computer is being mended, and I'm not able to get on the net as easy. Thanks, Geoff.
