Fort Lauderdale- Port Everglades

We’re on the Jan 12 sailing. I’ve booked the Hyatt Place for the night before. There are two Hyatt’s just south of FLL that have airport pick ups (free) and shuttles to the port for $15pp. I was just planning on a cab post cruise but may look into to DCL transfers.

The area just south of the airport is called Dania Beach. Looks like it’s got convenient restaurants and last minute shopping needs.
There's a Hyatt Place just north of FLL and just outside of Port Everglades that is close to a plaza with Publix, Total Wine, TJ Maxx and some restaurants. Dollar Tree and Ross also nearby. Decent prices on valuetrips.

There are other hotels in the area as well, and I daresay they're all filled with "day before" cruisers.

Agree with everyone else that uber/lyft/taxi is your best way to get to and from Port Everglades. Even if there's a line for the taxi when you disembark you're talking about a 5 minute ride to FLL.

It’s closer to 12 minutes, depending on traffic.

Any advice on getting to MIA post cruise? Coming from the West coast and could not find any direct flights out of FLL so for convenience we are heading out of MIA. Should we just plan to Uber? A little nervous to fly cross country around the holidays but we love cruising on NYE with Disney!

I might look into private transportation companies if you have a tight flight back home. We met a couple that would fly into FLL for MIA cruises because it was cheaper and they always used a company that was 3 initials (not being cryptic, they couldn't remember and didn't bring their phones to CC.)

For what it's worth, I've found MIA to run smoother than MCO.
