I am anxiously waiting for June 30 when Southwest will release their next flight schedule and I can book our tickets to FL for Feb. school vacation week. I have two places tentatively booked...one in Siesta Key and one in Ft. Lauderdale.

If the weather is cold, is there enough to do in Siesta Key area or should I stick with Ft. Lauderdale since it is further south?

Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated!

I would go further south if you want the warmth. My sister lives in Ft. Myers and she was sending me texts of how chilly, aka warm it was, 70*. I know that is warm but if I am going to FL for heat, I want 90*.

I am anxiously awaiting Jet Blues release so I can book for April.

Siesta Key holds a special place in my heart. Fort Lauderdale has more to do if you want to be on the go with it's proximity to Miami.
