Fort Lauderdale hotel

Hello, flying into FT Lauderdale in February for our cruise. Thinking of spending the night there and heading to Port of Miami the next morning via SAS shuttle. We will be arriving in FLL around ten am and would prefer to keep things simple with the little ones and take a hotel shuttle to accomadations rather then rent a car. Any suggestions for great FLL hotels that have either a fantastic pool to spend the day at or is close to restaurants/ shopping areas to kill time. I know SAS has a limited number of hotels they pick up at too so that is somewhat limiting. Just wondering if anyone had a similar itinerary and what they did/ how it went. Thanks!

We took the Disney Wonder out of Miami this past April. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale and stayed at the SpringHill Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port. It had a great pool, free breakfast, and the rooms were very nice. I'm not sure if SAS offers shuttle service from there as we had rented a car but there are a lot of shops and restaurants close by.
