Denise I saw on the news about the tornados..I hope you guys didn't suffer any damange and are okay.

We are fine, I just talked to our insurance agent of 23 years, his detached garage is destroyed, his house is iffy, will have to have structural engineer determine if its fixable or start from scratch. Important thing is his family is ok. So far estimates are 2 have died, around 50 injured, 150 homes affected and no count on businesses yet.

Oh wow..that's just awful. As you say..thank God, his family is okay though. How close to where you live did the tornado(s) strike Denise?
Do you have any warnings that sound for them in your area..or is it unusual for tornados to form where you live?

We live out in the "country" so no sirens here. There were several tornados actually hit all around us. I'd say the closest was 8-10 miles, we were very fortunate this time. Jan 96 or 97 there was a bad one came thru 1/4 mile from my mom's house, 2000 one came between us and the neighbors house, there's about 1/2 mile between us. It tore up trees and 2 double wides. April 06 one came thru and hail damaged our roof, siding, window screens, trucks, and TT. Yikes I'm scaring myself.
