Had a blast at the abbreviated camp-out this weekend. The weather held up, all the CG activities went well, and was a good time all around. My brother brought a friend from his office and we had 3 sites in a row.

DW was never a camper before she met me, and she never really appreciated the social aspects of it all. All of us in this weekend's group have kids, and we spent the weekend going from trailer to trailer, sharing campfires, and BS-ing. I think I am getting her bit by the bug, finally. Not to mention that the TT is WAY more comfortable than the tent, so that eliminates a lot of the downsides.

Now I just have to work today and pay for it all. Private CG's are a lot more expensive than state parks, but this place made it well worth it. I'll get some pics on soon.

I'm ready for next weekend already!

DW works all weekend, so I'll just let the kids decide it. Not too many opportunities left this year, gotta take what I can.

And I agree, camping is the best way to spend a weekend in my book! My brother's friend from work this weekend had a few trip reports from CG's we haven't been to yet, mostly in Iowa. I'm already making my list for next year. The campers in the neighborhood that I never knew about have come out of the woodwork since we put our trailer in the driveway. Should have more opportunities for group camping next year. The more, the merrier!

Darn Jim,,I like to get to the parks early, but adjusting my sleep pattern for 10:43PM is just a little too early for me !

literally happened in a matter of hours. No intentions of going to we better go while we can. we head home on Wednesday but, were going to try and stick around till Jim gets in. Wish we had brought Harley to meet the Wonder beagle.
