Former Pin Trader planning a trip to WDW

I don't know that anyone would remember me, its been over 5 years since I've been here, but I used to do a lot of pin trading/collecting from DLR and WDW.

I haven't been to a park in over 3 years, but I'm finally heading back to WDW for early October. I still have all my pins from years ago, and am already trying to decide how many I want to bring with me since I'll be traveling with small children and I don't want to bring too much.

Anyway, I'd like to start posting here again, as I'll be doing a lot of planning and anticipating in the next few months.

Welcome back. I remember you. As for pins... Well I seem to always bring to many but a lot of the ones from 3 to 5 years ago still trade well and some well don't... But those make great lanyard pins.

Welcome back Vicki - I also remember you. Bring those pins along, and have a wonderful time trading. The majority of mine are older too, but they do trade and then i am able to get newer ones. Have a great time planning - before you know it, the trip will be upon you. Caroline

Welcome Back Vicki! There are still some of us who have been doing this for more than 5 years! I remember you on the boards and trading with you back then. It is always tough to decide how many pins to take to WDW. We usually bring quite a few. Great to see you posting again!!

Okay, you asked, we may bring just a few more than most people do, but for lanyard trading we take about 20-30 pins per person per day. If we are definitely going to do a pin trading night or event we probably take about 700+ pins.

WOW, I didn't think I'd be remembered, or that I would recognize so many people.

I have time to decide, since its 5 months away, but I'm thinking of trying to condense my 2 bags of pins down to 1 bag just to make it easier to travel.

So, I'll need to pull the bags out and take out anything that isn't a trader and see where I end up.
