Former Disney worker killed by firework

How awful for his family and friends that had to witness it. Hopefully it happened so fast that he didn't feel a thing. RIP

I'm wondering how, exactly, he was killed. If he had the firework in a mortar tube and the mortar tube on his head, shouldn't the firework have shot out the tube up into the sky leaving the mortar tube in tact like it is when the mortar tube is on the ground.

I don't think his head was blown off. It's possible that the concussion was enough to kill him without any parts of him getting blown away.

Not to get to graphic but I imagine what happened was the same as when a rifle or gun "kicks back", unfortuently for him it kicked back into his skull. Pretty sure he either had no head or only part after it happened. My compassion is for his family and friends that were witnesses, especially his brother who was 5 feet away. It had to have been like something out of a horror film.

Look I have compassion for his Mom & family but he was a complete idiot. Again I put him in category of drunk driver. No compassion there

Won't it be a kick in the pants if the universe decides it's pretty important to keep a healthy dose of compassion and empathy in the gene pool?

ETA: It's occurred to me that pedophiles and serial killers generally have very good instincts of self preservation. I hardly think that speaks highly of the notion culling the herd being a victory.

So sad to hear this. Not just for his friends and family, but for all his fans over at the parks as well. He seemed like a great guy who loved his job. Rest in peace, and I hope his friends and family can find peace and comfort soon.
