We are sailing the western cruise in July....and I am in the dark when I read post about formal night and semi formal and rotation...help!

1)How many nights and which nights are formal night and semi-formal nights and how should we dress on all the other nights?

2)What is rotation and how do you find out what your rotation is?

3)Are there any character meals that we can reserve on the ship and how do we make reservations for them?

4)Where do you eat breakfast and lunch?

1)How many nights and which nights are formal night and semi-formal nights and how should we dress on all the other nights?

In any of the three dining rooms on the Western Caribbean itinerary:

• Monday evening: formal
• Wednesday night: Mexican or tropical or casual
• Thursday evening: semi-formal
• All other evenings: casual (no shorts or jeans)

2)What is rotation and how do you find out what your rotation is?

Only three possible rotations:

• APLAPLA
• PLAPLAP
• LAPLAPL

...where the letter is the first letter of the dining room name, and the position refers to evening, in order (first position is Saturday, second is Sunday, add so on). You find out your rotation when you check in at the port for your 7-night cruise. (You'll see the 7-letter code on your key card.)

3)Are there any character meals that we can reserve on the ship and how do we make reservations for them?

You'll be given a ticket for one specific seating.

4)Where do you eat breakfast and lunch?

The choice is yours! There are various buffet, fast food, and table service options throughout the week.
