You mentioned the “key” to formal night is dress as you want. So then you can’t dress as you want on non-formal nights? I can’t see anything happening if someone wore a formal on pirate night. I don’t see why even have a formal night on 7 night cruises any longer as you are the saying exactly what the majority say. Maybe have formal night on 8+ sailings or pick one restaurant on the second night. Sign up in advance. I’d love that.
I prefer to not stand out draw attention. Attention makes me uncomfortable at my current weight. You don’t like those types of clothes for yourself. I don’t like when people look at my outfit which would stand out from the majority and also see my weight. I’m not sure why people think they can tell someone “well don’t care,” and they will stop caring. When has it ever worked that way? And you “enjoy seeing families dressed up” just feeds my uncomfortable fears. Not bringing formal wear anymore unless daughter wants pictures because I just can’t, not care. I’m planning on 2 semi-formal nights on 7 night cruises going forward.
I’m not having any problem with you, I know other people feel like you. Please don’t take my rant personally, several comments similar to yours contributed to my response.
People don’t have to vote like me, hate ice cream like me, or like disco I think the Bee Gees are amazing! I’m not going to share my voting thoughts or bring attention to myself at a nice dinner.
What does get me upset most is that I don’t want to care and I don’t want to respond here. But I just do care, no matter how much I have tried not to care. And believe me I have deleted more than one response about this subject on far too many threads. I think the kids say “Triggered”
