Formal gown at Palos?

On our cruise I wore a formal to dinner at Palos. I thought it was the thing to do, but when we got inside the restaurant I didn't see any other ladys wearing one. I was just wondering what you all thought. I know it is a long ways off, but I was thinking about doing it again next time. Thanks for you help!

the first year I wore one and dh wore his tux. We were the only really "formal" folks in Palo (many in suits and cocktail dresses) and I think we got some admiring glances (mainly from the women who were thinking "I wish my dh would have worn a tux") - that could be my imagination but I enjoyed being the best-dressed - LOL

Last year we didn't do formal wear (dresses for the gals, blazers w/khakis for the guys) and it was fine too. But maybe not as special?
