Hey! so this past Spring I was busy with finally graduating with my Masters and I did something so ridiculous. I FORGOT to bank my points! I have two memberships and I forgot to bank 47 in one of them and 49 in the other. (96 total points) They will all expire August 1. I was thinking I would just try to use them up somehow maybe with one of the resorts in my town that can be booked as a trade or something but I have never done this and I am lost to the process. I live in Sevierville, TN (Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge) Can someone please explain what I need to do? Or if its even possible? I hate the thought of losing these points. Thank you!

MS has been known to allow the opportunity to bank beyond your usual deadline - so unless they have already allowed you to do this in the past, they may be willing. It's sure worth asking.

Otherwise, you can bank those points into the World Passport Collection to have an additional 2 years to use them for an RCI exchange. You will need more than 96 points for an exchange though so be prepared to add a few more points.

Here is the World Passport Collection point chart:

Studio. 106 Low/123 Mid/134 High
1 BR.... 124 Low/144 Mid/160 High
2 BR.....207 Low/252 Mid/270 High
3 BR.....276 Low/317 Mid/349 High

Assume High season for most exchanges - MS can advise if fewer points are required for the resort and dates you wish to reserve.

This happened to me last year. I called MS explaining the situation and they banked them without issue. They told me that I was only allowed to do this one time though. I'm sure it gets put in the file and if it happened again they would probably refuse. I immediately put this year's deadline date on my calendar and an alarm on my phone to remind me to do this 1 week before deadline.

If Member Services does not help you, call the agent from whom you bought your points. They earned a pretty commission on your purchase, and should do all they can to help you, within allowable policy, of course.

looks like the OP bought their contract over 5 years ago, so i doubt their salesperson is even still around...

regardless, the "guides" are just salespeople and don't have a lot of pull once you are outside your window to rescind.
