I forgot to add in my trip report, we DID come across those stinkin' time share people behind Shrek What a pain some of them are! BUT, I found a quick way to get away from them. I listened to them the first time, but I said, "Sorry...we're leaving at the end of the day to go home...we're only here today/one day." Well, THAT worked like a charm! Each "timeshare person" who wanted to talk to us, we just told them that we are only there for one day, and they thanked us and walked away..... So, if you encounter any timeshare people, just tell them that, and they should leave you alone.....that is, if you WANT to be left alone!

Sorry I forgot to include it in my TR, but I just thought of it!

Uckkk! I those people! This is just about the only complaint Mike and I have when we go to the parks.

This also works: when they ask how you're doing that day, just tell them you'd be doing better if you didn't have to go to bankruptcy court later that afternoon. I am not sure where that came from, but it wasn't a response they were expecting, and we took the moment of surprise to bolt.

Haha, we got sucked into talking to this girl for about 5 minutes, but I knew how I'd get out of it. "So, what's the minimum age for this?" I inquired. "21!" She responded cheerfully. "Oh, well he's only 20 and I'm 19[Actually 21 and 20]..but maybe we can try again in a few months.." She gave us her number and we were on our way. My boyfriend was so happy because he was trying to figure out how to get out of too. Anyway, we later did one of those surveys for Universal bucks, and that was fine because it's totally different than timeshares.

I'll tell ya'll more about my trip as soon as I finish this Comp assignment!

Why do people even converse with these sales people?

Just keep walking. Do not stop at all.

I/we have been to both parks total at least 20 times since 2001 and have never been accosted by these people although have only used parking garage two times.

When one of the camera takers tries to take our picture a stern but polite no thank you always works.

Because when you keep walking, they run up along side of you and walk with you....even if you say a "stern but polite" no thank you (like i did), that doesn't stop them..... that's when i said we were only there for the day....THAT worked!

ITA. We have been stalked many times!

BTW, we are not talking about the people in the parking garages. The timeshare sharks are located right in each park. We are most harrassed in between MIB and FF and in the LC on our way into Suess Landing. One of them kept talking and followed us practically to Jaws one time (from MIB), despite our ignoring him. This is the only time I've ever heard my husband raise his voice to a stranger. We try to make a game of avoiding them now, but honestly, we'd prefer these people just left us alone.
