Forget off-site!!!! Just borrowed and got BWV for July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had used all of our points for the year (Disney cruise) and even had borrowed a bit toward next year. So, with that in mind, we figured we'd stay off-site (or quasi on-site at the Dolphin) this summer.

Well, after a quick call to Member Services, I realized that I could borrow enough for 6 nights and STILL have enough for a 5 night trip next year. If I need more days - or if I want to upgrade to a 1BR next year - I'll just get some points from another member next summer.

This was a major relief. The more we looked around at the options outside of the park, the more nostalgic we felt for Disney accommodations.

Good for you. We stayed at an offsite timeshare for free with Marriott points a few trips ago, and it wasn't worth it. We'll save those points for other destinations!

You can also buy up to 24 one-time-use points per year from DVC for $15/pt.
