Forget Dick's Last Resort

We tryed the one on the Riverwalk in San Antonio a few years ago on New Years Eve. I knew it wasn't our kind of place but DFH wanted to go. He looked it up and I guess the website said they had live music and no cover. Well when we got there there was a $10 or $20 cover per person (don't remember because he paid), there was no band and as soon as we walked in we realized we could not eat there. No where to sit, dirty tables. We walked out and DFH asked for his money back and we ate somewhere else that night.

Speaking of disappointing theme restaurants... We went to Whispering Canyon at disney. My kid is a total ketchup freak... asked for ketchup.. nothing. I asked for the biggest diet coke they had, just a regular drink etc. I was sad! I was really looking forward to some silliness!

In the video, we saw a horrified middle aged couple the next table over. The wife ended up yelling at the waitress and walked out on their meal because the waitress thought it would be cool to just give her husband an impromptu lap dance at the dinner table.

OMG! :scared1:

I walked by one in Boston yesterday, and kept on waling,I thought the t-shirts were nasty...put me right off the whole place......

? is that new? The only one I know of in Boston is by the Pru

Quincy market......the number of young kids eating there surprised me ,seeing what their general....'theme' seems to be....

We hit the one in Vegas a few times. Always a hoot. Expensive.

The Vegas one is a MUST do each time we visit! LOVE the ribs and bucket of onion rings!! Not a place I would take my kids after 5:00pm tho :rolleyes1...some of the hats they made for me made me blush :rotfl2:! Always a great time tho...but we know what to expect and love the crassness and love that we can dish back the attitude!

OP: Yah, I would have been IRKED at 5 shrimp!! Double irked at the green onions as they make me sick.

We ate at the one in Boston earlier this year and won't be returning. The service was fine and we thought the servers were amusing. We all had funny hats before we left. The beer was cold and you could get a "big *** beer glass" that you got to keep. But the food was lousy. With all the great places to eat around Faneuil Hall, we would go back for a few beers and then eat someplace else. We did have a nice outside table though.

We have a Dick's Last Resort in Vegas and I refuse to eat there.

When it first opened a friend of mine had a birthday party there and video recorded the event. Never in a million years would I pay for that rude service; in fact, I don't even see the attraction in it. .

I'm with you. If I was at a regular restaurant I wouldn't tip for crappy service, so why would I intentionally go someplace for it?

We went to the one in Myrtle Beach a couple of years ago. We won't go back. The atmosphere is fun, the joking with the waiters and the hats are funny.

What wasn't funny was 2 adults and 3 kids spending nearly 100.00 and walking out of there as hungry as going in. Like the OP, the meal comes in the top of the bucket, and I looked in the bucket for the rest of the meal that wasn't there. I can't quite remember what we ordered, (ribs and wings I think) but I do remember what we paid and looking for something else to eat at Barefoot Landing right after dinner.
