We are taking our foreign exchange student with us on our cruise soon. We have taken care of all the paperwork (parental consent, passport, visa, etc.), but I was wondering when he would have to meet with immigration. I think he needs to meet immigration on our return day (at 6 AM?!). Any other days? He is 17 - does he need an adult with him?

Any other things we need to think of?

Are there any talent shows on the 3 day cruise?

(Any other Hungarians on the cruise? He'd love to speak his home language!)

Thanks for any help!

I haven't done the 3 day cruise, but I believe he will need to meet with immigration. I don't believe he'll need an adult with him, just his passport. However, if one of you decides to go with him, make sure to take your own passport proving you're a US citizen. They're not supposed to let you out of the room without checking your citizenship - even if you're just along for moral support.

Since Disney will know there is a non-US citizen in your room, they'll leave a sheet of instructions in your room the night before about meeting with immigration including time, location, etc. And on the 3 day, it should just be once.

Don't worry...besides the 6am thing, it's pretty painless :)

I do believe there are Hungarian Servers... i did speak to one BB member who is Hungarian and requested servers so she could speak her native language... if you want i'll ask her to message you.
