I test drove one. I loved it, but wanted better gas mileage and got a Focus.

My husband traded in his Focus for an Edge nearly 2 years ago. I think he loves that stupid car more than me. I don't think he would have 1 bad thing to say about it. Not that I do, I just don't drool over it like he does. I will say it's pretty roomy. I have an Explorer and even though it's a larger vehicle, his had more leg room than mine.

Just got back from the dealer. We bought an '09 Limited -- black with stone leather seats. It's really nice. Will pick it up in a few days after they install the remote start.

I just had my 2008 LE 15,000 mile servicing last week which I bought in early March last year. I put about 1,500 miles per month on it.

Only options I have are the Sirius Radio, cover for the back area, and factory installed Class II trailer hitch. I had to get that so I could install an outside lift for my ECV.

The lift adds about 130 pounds hanging off the back without the ECV and about 330 pounds with the ECV on it; the limit is 350 pounds. Because of the extra wind resistance, and my average speeds, according to the computer on board I am getting about 21.3 MPG overall.

I can really drive it as I did my old Taurus, except I cannot make certain turns as fast because of the extra weight at the rear.

I am very happy with it, and everyone who has ridden with me has comment about how nice it is.

Funny, this is the 2nd Edge post I've replied to today. I have a 2007, going on 2 years now. With the exception of the mileage, I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine is Blazing Copper (or at least it's supposed to be, right now it's white salt colored).

Two words...Love it. I got mine in June. I downsized from a Lincoln Navigator and love the Edge so much more. It fits better in my garage and parking spaces. I love sync. The car syncs to my phone and ipod so I can control both of them from the touchscreen on the dash. I got the two sun roofs (the one in the back doesn't open) so I had the dvd player put it post factory in the headrests and they are working great. We've had some snow storms this year and I'm happy with the way it handles in the snow.

Thats funny.. I HAD a Focus and traded it in for an Edge 6 months ago

I love love love my Edge! We got all the bells and whistles and are paying dearly for it, but its worth every penny.. I got sync in mine, so every time I get in the car my cell phone automatically syncs up and basically Im on speaker phone when a call comes in.. and my ipod syncs up.. It has a GPS which I absolutely love.. heated seats, moonroof that opens up over half of the roof.. but the back half of the roof is like a sunroof.. came with 6 months of free Sirius Radio..

Gas in my neck of the woods is about $1.56 a gallon and it costs me about $25-$30 to fill up and I can go a full week and still have some in the tank.. I went for a road trip this week and got about 330 miles on one gas tank if I remember correctly..

bettyann, my husband did the same thing, Focus for an Edge. I don't think he'd ever go back now!


ETA: I have a remote start on my Explorer and it was hands down worth every penny.
