My mom gave me a banked week from her timeshare through Interval Travel. The week we are going, the only availability is as follows:

Liki Tiki 1 BR (We stayed there in the past-when Isle of Bali-nice, but a bit of a drive to the parks)

Clarion Suites and Spas @ Resort World 1 BR
Amerisuites Vacation Club at Calypso Cay 1 BR
Star Island Resort 1 BR

We have three kids, 8, 4 and 2. Cleanliness is the most important aspect for me, followed by children facilities (playground/pool) and distance to parks.

Please give all opinions on these resorts-both good and bad. Thank you to everyone!!!

I have heard that Star Island is a very nice place but someone mentioned its not much geared towards children. They have a Spa and stuff like that.

The Resort World resorts (there are a few) are ok but as far as they go I think Spas is one of their "nicer" ones

The Amerisuites is new I believe and if I am thinking correctly its located along 535 down the road from Vistana? So thats a good location for the parks.

Its a toughie but for me I would probably take either the Amerisuites or Resort World..being that you say you dont want Liki Tiki

I hope that helps! I belong to Timeshare Users Group so read alot of postings and reviews about the various resorts plus we go down there alot. Of course if you arent happy please dont yell at me if you take any of my advice :)

Hi Diane..thanks for responding. I ended up booking Liki Tiki again. they gave us a 2 BR condo, so that was great.

I actually have two more nights to book as we're going for 9 nights. Liki Tiki wants 190 per night for the extra nights! I'm thinking of splurging on the Hard Rock since it seems to get positive reviews here and I saw a rate of $229-$249 depending on the view (garden/pool).

I really did like Liki Tiki (Isle of Bali) when we went, so alledgedly the construction on 192 is done (we were there when it was going on), so it may not be so bad driving.

Thank you again..I welcome any further input you wish to give.

Well since you have already been to Liki Tiki and apparently were happy there then it sounds as if you made the right choice.

We were there (Orlando) in November and yes the construction seemed to be done so you should be ok there.

Heck if they want that much to stay there for extra nights even though its a 2BR I would still try something different!

My family and I just came back from a New Years week stay at Liki Tiki and the drive to the parks wasn't bad at all. We enjoyed ourselves very much, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. :Pinkbounc
