Just got back and discovered something about FJ which changed it from being just an "ok" ride for me to being a favorite! My first ride made me queasy and I was unable to enjoy the "flight" portions of the ride because it seemed too erratic and jerky. THEN, on a second attempt another day i just happened to lean my head forward as far as the restraint allowed as the flight portion began and wow, it changed the experience. i could see and was immersed in the full screen and the illusion of flying was really there! that part of the ride became a " soarin' type of experience, i loved this!

Anyone else ride it this way or am i stating the obvious? It was a bit disturbing to go back into the castle suddenly and literally come face to face with a dementor, ha ha, gonna lean back for that part next time. :scared:

We'll have to try this on our visit in Sept. We loved the ride last year and honestly I don't remember if we were leaning forward or not but I'm all for trying something new to make it even better.

Somebody else mentioned keeping your head back against the head rest and that keeping their nausea away. Neither work for me. Just meclazine. Motion sickness seems to get very personalized!!!

this is true :thumbsup2. i think this just enhances the ride experience but if it helps someone with queasiness, like it did for me, then so much the better!
